The National Monuments Service's description
In improved wet, low lying pasture, on the SW edge of boggy moorland, 50m SW of a boundary with Loughgur townland and 800m S of Lough Gur. Enclosures (LI032-188/299----) lie 75m to SSW and 175m to SW, respectively. Not depicted on OSi historic maps, although the bog to NE is annotated ‘Red Bog’. Monument identified as a roughly oval-shaped cropmark by the Bruff aerial photographic survey in 1986 (Bruff 212: AP 5/2011). Monument is not visible on OSi orthoimage taken 2005-2012, on Digital Globe orthoimage taken 2011-2013 and on Google Earth orthoimage taken 25/03/2017.
