The National Monuments Service's description

On gently sloping ground falling to the E where a stream flows 750m N into the Camoge River. Located 260m ENE of Cahercorney Church (LI032-072001-) and graveyard (LI032-072002-). The mound is located within a complex of 12 monuments (LI032-073001-/013-) recorded by M. J. O'Kelly (1942-3, 181-2). The Discovery Programme identified further monuments within the complex including this site (LI032-073014-).
The mound is not depicted on OSi historic maps. Identified as a sub-rectangular shaped mound during archaeological research by the Discovery Programme (Grogan 2005) on the North Munster Project (Discovery Programme Site No. 17). The site is visible on the OSi orthoimage taken 2005-12 and on Digital Globe orthoimage taken 2011-2013 as a sub-rectangular feature surrounded by a fosse (ext. dims. 10m NE-SW; 16.5 NW-SE). The site is visible on Google Earth orthoimages taken 05/04/2006; 25/05/2017 and 20/09/2020.
