The National Monuments Service's description

In improved pasture 75m S of R516 that marks the townland boundary with Camas. Not depicted on any OSi historic maps. Monument identified as a ring-barrow by Grogan (1989, 222) and labelled in his thesis as 'Carrigeen 1'. No surface remains visible on OSi orthophoto taken between 2005-12 or on Google Earth orthoimage dated 20/09/2020.
