The National Monuments Service's description
On flat gently waterlogged pasture, with good views in all directions with the exception to the E where the site is overlooked by a hill. It has been partially incorporated into the townland boundary with Doonvullen Upper that runs along the S edge of the site. Enclosure (LI023-177----) lies 20m to SW and enclosure (LI023-252--) abuts its S margin. The site is not depicted on historic OSi maps but is visible on OSi orthoimage taken 2005-12. Identified by Bruff aerial photographic survey in 1986 (Bruff 270 on AP 4/3689) and by the Discovery Programme in 1996 (McCloud Photo AB 9, Limerick OS23) as an enclosure (ext. diam. c. 77m N-S; 74m E-W). The enclosure is visible on Google Earth orthoimage taken 28/06/2018.
