The National Monuments Service's description

On flat elevated ground with good views in all directions. The site is located 650m S of the Camoge River and the townland boundary with Friarstown South. Cave site (LI023-240----) 700m to W. The field system is not illustrated on historic OSi maps and underlies and predates the current field boundaries that are depicted on the OSi 1840 ed. 6-inch map. The field systems are visible on OSi orthoimage taken 2005-12. Identified by Bruff aerial photographic survey in 1986 (Bruff 122 AP 4/3642) as a rectangular enclosure (ext. diam. 40m N-S; 30m E-W) within a field system that is aligned NNW-SSE and ENE-WSW, further parallel and perpendicular relic field boundaries are visible to the S and W. The site is visible on Google Earth orthoimages 28/05/2018.
