The National Monuments Service's description

In improved pasture, on a gentle N-facing slope, N of Grange Hill and NW of Knockfennell, 60m NW of the townland boundary with Knockfennell. A ring-barrow (LI023-230----) lies 140m to ENE. Depicted on the 1840 ed. OS 6-inch map as a circular-shaped earthwork (diam. 46m). Monument identified as a roughly oval-shaped earthwork by the Bruff aerial photographic survey in 1986 (Bruff AP 4/3642). Monument visible as a suboval-shaped earthwork (75m NE-SW; 42m NW-SE) on Digital Globe orthophotos taken 2011-13 and on Google Earth orthoimages taken 28/06/2018. The earthwork has the appearance of a quarry rather than an archaeological enclosure on OSi orthoimages taken 2005-12.
