The National Monuments Service's description

In pasture, on E-facing slope. Ovoid area (c. 20m N-S; c. 35m E-W) defined by an earth and stone bank (int. H 0.3m; ext. H 0.82m) NNE->WNW. Field wall along line of bank WNW->NNE obscuring line of enclosing bank; slight trace of a fosse (D 0.45m; Base Wth 0.7m) to N of wall. Bank best preserved at SW (ext. H 1.41m). Interior only accessible in NE quadrant due to dense overgrowth; noticeably raised SW quadrant (H c. 2.3m) littered with stones and boulders possibly derived from recent reclamation of adjoining pasture field to S. Listed as a moated site by Barry (Barry 1981, 84; site no. 35).
