The National Monuments Service's description

Situated on lower SSW slopes of Carrabane beside a mountain roadway. Bee-hive shaped within a small stone wall enclosure. Built of granite boulders bonded with mortar. Floor is paved with granite stones. Entrance (Wth 0.60m; H 0.85m) is low, narrow and lintelled and leads to a D-shaped chamber (int. diam. 1.75m; max. H 2.05m). Substantial evidence for burning.
