The National Monuments Service's description
On a rise in low-lying pasture. Depicted as a circular enclosure with the designation 'Fort' on the 1837 ed. of the OS 6-inch map. A raised subcircular area (c. 34m E-W; c. 31m N-S) defined by a scarp (H 0.4-0.5m) with a narrow external fosse (Wth 1-1.5m; D 0.1-0.2m), which is identifiable from SSW-N-SE. A report in 1976 (SMR file) recorded traces of a low outer bank at SE and W; these are no longer identifiable nor is the original entrance recognisable. The interior rises towards the centre.
