The National Monuments Service's description

Archaeological excavation (Site 5) in 2003 in advance of a large-scale, commercial development revealed a semicircular spread (11m x 10.5m; max. D 0.24m) of dark, loosely compacted silt containing many charcoal flecks. Centrally positioned within the arc of the spread was an oval trough (1.56m x 1.44m; D 0.36m). There were five stake-holes near the S edge of the trough and a sixth at the N edge. In addition there were two post-holes at the NW of the site (Ó Maoldúin and Keeley 2006, 320). Another fulacht fia (LF014-123----) lies c. 80m to the S.
