The National Monuments Service's description
Archaeological excavation (Site 3) in 2003 in advance of a large-scale, commercial development revealed a charcoal-flecked deposit of burnt stones which overlay a trough and a small pit. The trough was subrectangular, with the corners marked by five stakes. The pit (L 0.7m; Wth 0.6m; D 0.42m) was oval in plan, with steep sides and a concave base (Ó Maoldúin and Keeley 2006, 321). A fulacht fia (LF014-123----) and a burnt mound (LF014-124----) lie c. 77m and c. 47m to the NW respectively.
