The National Monuments Service's description

This is a sunken area (dims 5.2m N-S; 1.1m E-W; D c. 0.5m) at the centre of rath (LE012-028001--), with a lintelled length of undifferentiated passage (L 1.4m; Wth 0.85m; H 1.4m) at its S end that has a possible air-vent (L 0.7m) in its E wall.

The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Leitrim' compiled by Michael J. Moore (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2003). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
