The National Monuments Service's description
Marked only on the 1910 ed. of the OS 6-inch map where it is described in gothic script as a 'Cave'. It is located in rough pasture on a steep W-facing slope in the valley of the SW-NE Scardan River, with the stream c. 100m to the W. No feature like a souterrain is visible at ground level and there are no descriptions of any archaeological feature. The area had been quarried, and it has since been forested (Bing c. 2013). It may have been a natural cave.
