The National Monuments Service's description
Located in scrub at a shoulder of high ground overlooking the Scardan river valley to the E. The souterrain is a sunken hollow (dims 3.3m N-S; 1.2m E-W; D 0.2m) with a lintel of the passage in position at the S end. There is no indication that there was ever an enclosure associated with it.
The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Leitrim' compiled by Michael J. Moore (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2003). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
