The National Monuments Service's description

Situated on an E-facing slope. Grass-covered circular area (int. diam. 26m N-S; 24m E-W) defined by a low earthen bank (Wth 4-6m; int. H 0.4-1.1m; ext. H 0.4m). The remains of a field wall can be seen intermittently on the perimeter. The souterrain site (LE012-019002-) is in the interior. Archaeological testing (03E1859) c. 40m to the N at the closest point produced no related material (Read 2006).

The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Leitrim' compiled by Michael J. Moore (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2003). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
