The National Monuments Service's description

Situated in a basin at the base of a W-facing slope. Archaeological testing (12E0128) over an area of about 10 ha (c. 25 acres) identified four areas of burnt mound material in two adjacent N-S trenches. This was a deposit (dims 4m x 4m; T 0.05m) of broken and burnt stone beneath topsoil (T 0.3m), and it was completely excavated. (Hull 2013, 3)
