The National Monuments Service's description

Located at the summit of Crocknagaple Hill. This is a grass-covered subcircular stony mound (dims of base 15.5m E-W; 13.4m N-S) with a flat top (dims 9m N-S; 10.2m E-W; H 0.6m at N to 1-1.6m) surrounded by a berm (Wth 0.4-0.7m) and an outer stone ring (Wth 2.2-2.8m; int. H 0.2m; ext. H 0.5-0.7m) (max. ext. diam. 20.6m E-W; 20.3m N-S). The central cairn is overlaid by peat (T c. 0.6m) and the edge of the central cairn and ring have been damaged E-SW.
