The National Monuments Service's description
Upstanding in the graveyard (KK024-062002-) of Tullaherin, immediately S of the S wall of the nave of the medieval church (KK024-062001-), towards the W end. One of two ogham stones (see also KK024-062009-) at this early church site, which also has a round tower (KK024-062004-). This stone (0.7m x 0.51m x 0.27m, converted from Macalister 1945, 39, no. 35) was discovered standing close to the S wall of the church and 'nine paces' from the round tower (Prim 1854, 87). Macalister (1945, 39-40) recorded it as 'the stump of a pillar stone...the top of the stone is broken off and lost'. All that remains of the inscription is a handful of scores on one angle, which he renders as VI[R]... .
This stone has been studied as part of the ‘Ogham in 3D’ project undertaken by the School of Celtic Studies, Dublin Institute for Advanced Studies. To access details go to the following website: http://ogham.celt.dias.ie/search.php?ciic=35
