The National Monuments Service's description
On a slight N-facing slope on an undulating plain. Excavated in 2007 in advance of the N9/N10 Kilcullen to Waterford road improvement scheme (Licence no. E3538). A concentration of post-holes, stake-holes, pits, and boundaries clustered together on the western edge of a natural pool. Medieval pottery was recovered from all of these and the cluster of activity is thought to represent a small rural dwelling of the 13–14th century. It was evident from the deposits that filled these structural post-holes and slots that the structure had been dismantled prior to site abandonment and would have originally been of post and beam construction. (Devine 2010, 240-41, no. 902; Devine and Sygut 2009)
