The National Monuments Service's description
In rolling agricultural landscape on a gentle N-facing slope. Excavated in 2007 in advance of the N9/N10 Kilcullen to Waterford road improvement scheme (Licence no. E3456). A small, shallow pit (0.36m by 0.3m; D 0.16m), circular in plan with a concave base, filled with loose greyish brown sandy silt with charcoal flecking and occasional small stones. A single sherd of Early Neolithic pottery, burnt flint and a stone flake were found in the pit. Three Bronze Age house were excavated c. 50m to the S (KK023-142----, KK023-143----, KK023-144----).
