The National Monuments Service's description
Formerly in St Mary's church in Kilkenny city (see KK019-026259-) (Devine and Ó Drisceoil 2005, vol. 1, 17-18). Currently in St. John's C of I Cathedral (see TS061-025102-), at the NE end of the nave, immediately S of the chancel.
A graveslab reused as the pedestal for a medieval font (TS061-025101- and KK019-026258-). The pedestal consists of the upper dexter portion (dims 0.88m x 0.88m; H 0.21m) of a reused limestone graveslab. This graveslab was originally much larger, but has been machine cut along the sinister side and base to form its present square shape. It is bears an incised latin inscription 'Hic jacet N…' in lombardic script. This translates as: Here lies N…. .
