The National Monuments Service's description

On the S bank of the Ouveg River. According to Carrigan (1905, vol. 2, 113), the 'castle stood beside a high moat in a field called "the Kruckawn" or "Old Castle," close to Castlemarket bridge. It formerly belonged to the Earls of Ormond. It was destroyed, together with the adjoining moat [KK001-006002-], about 1800'. The castle is not visible at ground level.
