The National Monuments Service's description

In rough hill pasture, on the lower N-facing slope of Lackabane Mountain. A circular area (11.2m E-W; 9.8m N-S) defined by an uncoursed, clay-mortared, rubble stone wall (T c. 0.9m; int. H 1.45m at S; ext. H 0.6m at S) NNE-NNW and by a scarp NNW-NNE. The enclosure is built up (H 1m) NNW-NE and faced externally with uncoursed rubble stone. An external trench (Wth 1.4m) SSE-SSW is cut (D 0.8m) into the upslope at S. Three breaks (Wth 0.5-0.6m) occur along the stone wall at NE, SW and W. The interior is obscured by ferns which are also growing on top of the sod-covered walls.

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Kerry. Volume I: South-West Kerry' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2009). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
