The National Monuments Service's description

In rough pasture, on a gentle N-facing slope, on the E bank of a tributary of the Drimminboy River. A kidney-shaped grass-covered mound (6.8m NW-SE; 5m NE-SW; H 0.65m) of burnt material, slightly indented midway along its SE side. The opening (1m NE-SW) faces NE. Some burnt stones and charcoal are exposed at the tip of the E arm. A fulacht fia (KE111-018004-) and a possible fulacht fia (KE111-018006-) lie c. 20m to the SW and c. 30m to the NW, respectively.

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Kerry. Volume I: South-West Kerry' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2009). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
