The National Monuments Service's description

In rough pasture, on a NE-facing slope, overlooking Gowlane Lake. A stretch of relict field wall extends (L c. 70m) in a NW direction from the NW side of the Drombohilly-Lauragh road at the SE to the external face of the SE wall of an enclosure (KE108-049006-). The collapsed wall (T 0.65m; H 0.6m) consists of lower course stones which protrude above the thin layer of blanket bog. Rubble from the upper courses is scattered downslope to the NE. This field wall also forms part of an enclosure (KE108-049007-) and a hut site (KE108-049004-).

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Kerry. Volume I: South-West Kerry' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2009). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
