The National Monuments Service's description

In rough hill pasture and cutaway bog, on a SW-facing slope, overlooking the valley of Lough Inchiquin. Intermittent stretches of relict field walls (T 0.6m; H 0.75m) meander across an area measuring c. 80m N-S; 110m E-W. There are several gaps in the walls and no fully enclosed field is discernible. Some of the relict field walls are visible in an area of cut bog. The exposed walls, which comprise upright stones set at right angles to the line of the wall, are set in clay.

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Kerry. Volume I: South-West Kerry' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2009). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
