The National Monuments Service's description

In rough hill pasture, on the N bank of a river, on a SE-facing slope, overlooking Lough Inchiquin. A crescent-shaped mound (9m NE-SW; 7m NW-SE; H 1.1m) with the opening (2m NE-SW; 1m NW-SE) facing SE towards the river. The mound is sod-covered and eroded at E and NE. Another fulacht fia (KE101-081003-) lies immediately to the W and a third (KE101-081001-) lies immediately to the S, on the opposite bank of the river.

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Kerry. Volume I: South-West Kerry' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2009). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
