In undulating pasture, at the base of a waterfall, at the head of a valley, below Knocknagorraveela. A spread (20m E-W; 7m N-S) of burnt material is visible on the surface of the hollow. According to local information, a mound was levelled here in the recent past during land drainage and reclamation.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Kerry. Volume I: South-West Kerry' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2009). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
