The National Monuments Service's description

Internal diam. 37.5m NE-SW
The poorly preserved remains of this caher are located in low-lying pasture on the N side of Kenmare Bay. The site is bounded by modern field walls at W and S, as depicted on the second edition of the OS map. The enclosing element is extant from NNW to SE, though much of it is reduced to a band of sod-covered debris. However, a stretch of neatly coursed inner and outer facing, enclosing a rubble core, is visible at SE. This is preserved to an external height of .8m, an internal height of .3m and a width of 2m. Field clearance material abuts the external circuit of the wall. A scatter of stone occurs in the interior, but forms no recognisable pattern.

The above description is derived from A. O'Sullivan and J. Sheehan (compilers), 'The Iveragh peninsula: an archaeological survey of South Kerry'. Cork University Press (1996), no. 625. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
