The National Monuments Service's description
A low semicircular earthen bank traverses the S half of the site's interior, abutting its enclosing element at SSE and SW. It is not clear if this feature is contemporary with the rath. Almost centrally located is a circular fionnán enclosure (KE092-004002-), 4m in diameter. Seven similar enclosures are located in the area immediately N of the site.
The above description is derived from A. O'Sullivan and J. Sheehan (compilers), 'The Iveragh peninsula: an archaeological survey of South Kerry'. Cork University Press (1996), no. 537. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
