The National Monuments Service's description

This site, known locally as a ceallúnach, is situated at the W end of an elongated spur, overlooking Ballinskelligs Bay to S. It is not marked on the OS maps. It consists of an approximately circular area that is enclosed by a substantial wall constructed of large boulders and some upright slabs. This wall is 1.6m wide and the enclosed area measures 8.5m N-S x 7.8m E-W. Occurring in the N half of the interior are the remains of a rectangular structure, 5.7m x 2.3m, and a number of small boulders and upright slabs. The site was used as a burial place within living memory.

The above description is derived from A. O'Sullivan and J. Sheehan (compilers), 'The Iveragh peninsula: an archaeological survey of South Kerry'. Cork University Press (1996), no. 1009. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
