The National Monuments Service's description

This poorly preserved monument is located in a forestry plantation on the W slopes of a ridge. Obscured by overgrowth, it consists of a rectangular area, 4.3m NNE-SSW x 2.5m ESE-WNW, which is defined at its WNW side by five upright slabs and opposite by two roughly parallel lines of orthostats, 9.5m long and 1m apart, which extend beyond the monument to SW. The two lines of orthostats enclose a stony core and the slabs which form the outer line are of smaller dimensions, on average, than those of the inner row. These, together with the slabs which define the ESE side, range from .8m to 1.5m in height and from .5m to 1.15m in length. The thick slab at the NNE end of the ESE side features a quartz face.

The above description is derived from A. O'Sullivan and J. Sheehan (compilers), 'The Iveragh peninsula: an archaeological survey of South Kerry'. Cork University Press (1996), no. 1475. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
