The National Monuments Service's description
A drystone-built souterrain, described as containing passages and chambers, was discovered several decades ago at this location on the S side of the Ferta river estuary. It is not marked on the OS maps. It extended in part beneath the present Cahersiveen-Killorglin roadway and was infilled for safety reasons by the County Council (local information). No surface trace is apparent.
