The National Monuments Service's description
An opening, 1.3m x 1.1m, to an inaccessible souterrain passage (KE072-003001-) occurs in the W quadrant of the site's interior. A second opening is located adjacent to the external base of the enclosing wall at W. The passage appears to run NE-SW, and is of drystone construction.
The above description is derived from A. O'Sullivan and J. Sheehan (compilers), 'The Iveragh peninsula: an archaeological survey of South Kerry'. Cork University Press (1996), no. 592. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
