The National Monuments Service's description
This standing stone, not marked on the OS maps, is located on gently sloping land which affords broad views to E. It is a limestone block with a rather angular, pear-shaped, ground plan of five facets, the longest two measuring 1.2m and 1.1m; NW-SE. It tapers irregularly towards a rounded top, and is 1.68m high.
The above description is derived from A. O'Sullivan and J. Sheehan (compilers), 'The Iveragh peninsula: an archaeological survey of South Kerry'. Cork University Press (1996), no. 192. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
