The National Monuments Service's description

Killeen Burial Ground: No visible trace survives of this site, which was located a short distance ENE of Kilgobnet Church (KE065-042001-). It was depicted on the second edition of the OS map as an irregularly shaped area, located at the S side of a pond and delimited at W by a field boundary. The site was levelled in recent years during land reclamation operations. It was situated adjacent to a holy well (KE065-042002-) and is described in the IFC Schools' Collection as a burial ground for unbaptised children.

The above description is derived from A. O'Sullivan and J. Sheehan (compilers), 'The Iveragh peninsula: an archaeological survey of South Kerry'. Cork University Press (1996), no. 1048. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
