The National Monuments Service's description
This possible standing stone is not marked on the OS maps. It stood in gently sloping pastureland, about 200m E of Tullynascally stream, and was removed in the late 1970s along with another standing stone (KE065-039----) which was located c. 150m further E (local information). However, a third stone, located a short distance N of these, remains in situ (KE065-038----).
The above description is derived from A. O'Sullivan and J. Sheehan (compilers), 'The Iveragh peninsula: an archaeological survey of South Kerry'. Cork University Press (1996), no. 241. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
