The National Monuments Service's description
Internal diam. 23.4m
This circular univallate rath lies c. 100m N of KE054-042---- and 175m W of KE054-044----. The N and NW sectors of the site are enclosed by the townland boundary wall which appears to follow the line of the original enclosing bank. The remainder of the enclosure is defined by a stone-faced earthen bank, c. 0.8m high internally and 1.7m high externally. The 1.6m wide entrance gap at ESE is also faced with stone. The gaps in the bank at NE and SW are secondary features.
The above description is derived from J. Cuppage, ‘Corca Dhuibhne. Dingle Peninsula archaeological survey. Ballyferriter. Oidhreacht Chorca Dhuibhne’ (1986), no. 509. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
