The National Monuments Service's description
Roughly circular univallate rath KE054-008---- is situated in a commanding position on the E-W ridge that bounds the S side of the Lispole valley.
The interior is occupied by several mounds and depressions of uncertain origin, but a small lintelled cavity in the NE sector may be part of a souterrain KE054-008001-.
The above description is derived from J. Cuppage, ‘Corca Dhuibhne. Dingle Peninsula archaeological survey. Ballyferriter. Oidhreacht Chorca Dhuibhne’ (1986), no. 289. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
