The National Monuments Service's description

Internal diam. 36m
This circular univallate rath lies on a gentle N facing slope directly behind Burnham farm. The earthen enclosing bank is a maximum of 3.5m high externally and 1.5m high internally, and some drystone facing survives along its inner flank. A 3m wide gap at S appears to mark the location of the original entrance and other less well-defined breaks appear to be secondary. A laneway skirts the outer edge of the bank along the W sector. A tree plantation now occupies the interior, and a low rectangular cairn of small stones lies a little to NW of the entrance.

The above description is derived from J. Cuppage, ‘Corca Dhuibhne. Dingle Peninsula archaeological survey. Ballyferriter. Oidhreacht Chorca Dhuibhne’ (1986), no. 354. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
