Internal diam. 26m.
A circular univallate rath situated on a gentle N facing slope. The earthen enclosing bank is a maximum of 3.5m high externally and 2m high internally. An 8m wide gap at NE and a 3m wide gap at SW provide access to the interior. A shallow ditch and low ridge run directly inside and parallel to the bank in the S half of the site.
The above description is derived from J. Cuppage, ‘Corca Dhuibhne. Dingle Peninsula archaeological survey. Ballyferriter. Oidhreacht Chorca Dhuibhne’ (1986), no. 310. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
