The National Monuments Service's description
Circular univallate rath KE045-033---- is located on the SE slopes of Flemingstown mountain, overlooking the valley of the Emlagh river.
There is no trace of the souterrain (KE045-033001-) marked in the centre of the enclosure on the 1st edition of the OS map.
The above description is derived from J. Cuppage, ‘Corca Dhuibhne. Dingle Peninsula archaeological survey. Ballyferriter. Oidhreacht Chorca Dhuibhne’ (1986), no. 501. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
