This circular univallate rath is located on the SE slopes of Flemingstown mountain, overlooking the valley of the Emlagh river. It is bisected SE-NW by a field fence and the NE portion contains a small plantation of coniferous trees. The earthen enclosing bank survives to a maximum height of .85m internally and 1.4m externally. It is not clear where the original entrance lay. Four breaks occur in the bank where the field wall enters and exits the site and these are probably modern. Either of the gaps at NNE and SSW may mark the original entrance. These are .9m and .6m wide respectively. There is no trace of the souterrain marked in the centre of the enclosure on the 1st edition of the OS map.
