The National Monuments Service's description

In mountain heath (192m), on a S-facing slope. Good views SE-> S->SW of Owenalondrig River valley and overlooked by mountains and hills S->N->SE. Narrow view of sea to SE at Acres Point and to SW at Trá Chathail. A very substantial and conspicuous sandstone boulder (dims. 2.25m NNW-SSE; 0.8m ENE-WSW) which is smooth and fractured. It has a sub-oval decorated surface (dims. 3.1m NNW-SSE; 2.95m ENE-WSW) with a W-facing aspect. There are five traceable motifs which are very faint and weathered. There is a cup-and-ring motif (diam. 20cm) having a cup (diam. 5cm; D 7mm), located at N-edge of decorated surface. A very faint cup-and-ring motif (diam. 13cm) having a cup (diam. 5.5cm; D 7mm) is situated at NW-edge of decorated surface; A gently curving groove (L c. 35cm; Wth 1cm; D 2mm) is adjacent to W and a single cupmark is c. 12cm to N. An oval cupmark (dims. 5cm x 4cm; Dth 10mm) at S end of decorated surface, may have faint traces of a ring, although this is not definitive. Rock art (KE044-029002-) is c. 260m to SW.
