The National Monuments Service's description
In level reclaimed pasture, at the foot of a S-facing slope. The enclosure is indicated on the 1892 OS 6-inch map as a D-shaped area (dims. c. 70m NE-SW) with a straight SW side (L c. 70m). It is also visible on an aerial photograph (HSAP, 34, 8199/8) taken in June 1962. An arc of the enclosing element (L c. 55m; Wth c. 1m; H c. 1m) is extant NNW-NE but is obscured by field-clearance rubble. Two short linear features, at right angles to each other and covered with overgrowth, in the SW half of the interior are also visible in the aerial photograph. These features may have formed the NE (c. 25m NW-SE) and the SE (c. 15m NE-SW) sides of a rectangular enclosure. A possible ogham stone (KE038-034001-) and a possible children's burial ground (KE038-034002-) are associated with the enclosure. It is known locally as a 'Killeen'.
