The National Monuments Service's description
Glanrakeon Fort/Gleann Ráthe Cuinn (glen of (the) ringfort of Conn - personal name). This circular enclosure is marked on the 1842 and 1897 OS maps and it is divided between OS 6-inch Sheet 14 and Sheet 20. It was ploughed out some years ago and no surface trace survives today.
The above description is derived from C. Toal, ‘North Kerry Archaeological Survey’. Dingle. Brandon in association with FAS Training and Employment Authority (1995), no. 680. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
