The National Monuments Service's description

Internal diameter 27m N-S
Lissmookera/Lissanookera/Lios an Úcaire (fort of the fuller or napper), this univallate rath has a commanding view of the River Shannon and the surrounding area. Situated in a corner of a field, a fieldbank runs immediately N and E of this site, while two other fieldbanks touch the site to the W and SSE. This rath consists of a circular area enclosed by a well-defined bank measuring 2m high externally, 1.5m internally, and 5m wide at the base. A fosse is evident to the S to W; it is flat bottomed and averages 2m in width and 1m below the surrounding land. A 3m wide gap to the N and 3m wide gap to the E provide access to the interior.

The above description is derived from C. Toal, ‘North Kerry Archaeological Survey’. Dingle. Brandon in association with FAS Training and Employment Authority (1995), no. 123. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
