The National Monuments Service's description

In pastureland on the W side of the road, close to a T-junction. This plain squat thin limestone cross (H 1.08m; max. T 0.1m), cruciform in plan, is set on a small cairn (H 0.4m) beside a whitethorn bush. The solid cross-head (max. Wth 0.57m) has two stumpy arms, angled slightly upwards. Apart from a smooth finish on its E face, the cross is undecorated. Possibly of early Christian date. Crosses of somewhat similar shape are found on St MacDara's Island (see GA076-020008-) and Inchagoill (see GA110-023027-). It appears to be in its original position (SMR file, 1982).
