The National Monuments Service's description
Located within the ecclesiastical enclosure (GA103-139001-) at Kiltiernan and to the W of another house site (GA103-139005). This rectangular house site (ext. dims. 8.59m E-W; 6.46m N-S) was one of three (see also GA103-139006-) excavated by Duignan in 1950 and 1953 (Waddell and Clyne 1995, 172-4). Just one to two courses of the double-faced drystone walls (Wth 0.97-1.22m) survived and, like the other houses, the internal corners where extant were angled. Externally only the NE corner was intact and it appeared to be rounded. The location of the entrance could not be determined with certainty. Finds indicate a wide date range and include a bronze strap mount possibly of medieval date.
