The National Monuments Service's description

Located within the ecclesiastical enclosure (GA103-139001-) at Kiltiernan, and abutting the enclosure wall at SE. This rectangular house site (int. dims. 15.9m E-W; 4.27m N-S) was one of three (see also GA103-139005- and GA103-139007-) excavated by Duignan in 1950 and 1953 (Waddell and Clyne 1995, 168-172). Constructed of double-faced rubble masonry, it was poorly preserved and only one course of walling survived where extant. The S wall (Wth 1.22-1.52m) was the best preserved wall. As with House I, the external corners at were rounded while internally there were angled. No definite trace of the entrance was identified. Duignan concluded that this house did not date to the primary occupation of the site. Animal bone fragments and oyster shells were recovered from the interior. Finds ranged in date form the early medieval period to modern times and included a fragment of a quernstone and an iron looped pin, the latter possibly of early medieval date.
